Jacqueline Cyr, DVM
Dr. Jacqueline Cyr grew up in nearby Esopus and has cared for pets as a general practitioner at Rhinebeck Animal Hospital since 2003.
She attended Cornell University and received her Bachelor's Degree in Natural Resources in 1995. After graduation, Dr. Cyr moved to Vermont and worked as a seasonal fish and wildlife technician for 10 months before returning to New York. Once back in New York, she began working at Rhinebeck Animal Hospital as a kennel attendant and rediscovered her passion for veterinary medicine. She returned to Cornell University and was awarded her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2003.
Dr. Cyr has received continuing education certifications in dentistry and general practice/internal medicine. Veterinary dentistry is just of one of her many professional interests.
Outside the hospital, Dr. Cyr can be found gardening, camping, hiking, and working on building her home with her husband, John. They have one son, Tristan, and the family also includes two mutts, Sam and Eddie, and two cats, Jimmy and Quasimoto.
